Your Match Day Pub?
Plough for me. Quiet, canal-front, hipstery, absolutely no West Ham feel about it, but it's convenient. Has potential though, so come over.

Was in the queens last 2 seasons but they have had a refurb and ruined the place, plus no kids now and there are a few that bring there sons. Tried the King Edward and that’s decent but last two games have gone into the secret weapon opposite the queens and its been the best of the lot just doesn’t have the football on in there which means it’s not packed. Drinks served in a glass can stand at the bar in a group and no wait. Pass the chippy on way to the ground and 20 minute walk to the ground.

Use the Golden Grove before and after matches- service isn't bad and if not ordering guest ales can use the Wetherspoons app to order food and drinks

Bar 012 sometimes early doors but usullay breakfast on the broadway and in to the Ye Olde Black Bull. Bow Bells after match.

Tried the Builders but it's just too busy. Same with the Carpenters.

Bar 012 is a good match day shout but its about a 20 minute walk to the ground.

Podium Bar for us now. Close to the ground, quickly served (if you go upstairs) and a terrace

See a lot of people go to the shop on the Carpenters Estate and stand outside. Takes me back!

In the 1970s worked in the TE next door to the Wentworth. Was our 'work' local.

Emma Lloyd said: “He (Mr Patel) was very aggressive and said: “You want me to control my customers? You’re ‘aving a f***ing bubble ain’t ya love? This is the East End, come down here and ‘ave it.’

“I told him about the customers urinating [in the street], to which he said: ‘Nah nah nah, I’ve just thrown water there’.

“I told I had seen one of his customers on film weeing up the side of the wall. His aggressive tone came back and told me to ‘f**k off’. I still cannot believe the way I was spoken to.”

Re: Your Match Day Pub?
It's not huge. The owners are lovely people, they serve a decent pint, it's warm, has a Pool table and not hipstery like the Plough.

Would advise more WHU to go.

The Wentworth is what I'd call small.

Crept into the Lighthouse post-match and just left. I'm going there instead of the Plough from now on.

Swan Wharf if time permits. Better in the milder months though, TBH.

I'm next down on 5th Jan... doubt we'll get round there then, though, as KO is too early really for that trek.
